Bill Gates: I dedicate my life to do good
Microsoft founder, Bill Gates said that, he now devotes his life to eliminate the disease, and the betterment of the world, advising the Arab youth to focus on their studies in the fields of science in order to develop the economy of their countries.
Gates in an interview with "Sky News Arabic" said that: “I am very lucky man. I had the chance to establish Microsoft and support innovations, and this taught me a lot, how can innovation helps people, and now devote my time to use these resources and skills to help those in dire need her”. He continued: “Technology gives us better tools, and the world is getting better, despite the complexities that we are experiencing, and I want to do my best to improve the world, and I am committed to that.”
Gates confirmed that he devotes all his time now to work with his charitable organization and his wife, and that the eradication of polio is a priority, saying: “Despite the challenges, we are optimistic that we will eliminate the disease by 2018”. According to Gates: “We have no guarantee of success. I am ready for the challenge, and I often hear some people calling to give up this goal, but this means that hundreds of thousands of children will die or develop cerebral annually around the world. We have excellent partners, such as the UAE government, which has good resources, and most importantly, the UAE ability to communicate and influence people with children in different countries. “In addition, Gates advised the Arab youth to focus on theirstudies in the fields of science in order to develop the economy of their countries. Microsoft founder and pointed out that “the health and agriculture sectors are the best sectors in terms of financial return. But I think that the next stage is to work to strengthen the education sector.”
About creativity in the Middle East, Gates said: “I think that creativity exists in the Middle East, but is hampered by the education system.”
